The will of God

"... but if anyone is a worshipper of God and does His will, He hears him." (John 9:31b NKJV)

No cost is too high to pay to do God's will. Not doing His will, on the other hand, will cost you more than you were willing to pay.

Doing the will of God simply means doing according to all that is written in His Word-- the Bible-- because God's Word is God's will. There are great rewards for keeping His Word.

A common question among Christians is, "What is the will of God for my life?"
One major way to get answers to this question is by giving quality time and attention to the study of the Word.

Two wills of God are clearly stated in the Bible:

1. Sanctification. "For this is the will of God, your sanctification..." (1Thessalonians 4:3 NKJV).
God wants you to be holy as He is holy. A commitment to holy living pleases God and it enables you to easily discern the will of God for other areas of your life. (Romans 12:1-2)

2. Thanksgiving. "In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (1Thessalonians 5:18 NKJV).
Murmuring and complaining displeases God (Numbers 11:1). His will is for you to be thankful at all times. This is easy to do when pleasant things are happening. However, it is quite unnatural to thank God when going through trials and challenges. In times like this, you need to consciously choose to thank God in spite of the challenges you're facing, because there's always something to be thankful for, if you can think well.

God abundantly supplies the grace to do His will. A commitment to doing these two wills of God, as well as other ones, will open the door for God to decorate your life with His blessings.
