Your words matter
"For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." (Matthew 12:37 NKJV)
How are you using your tongue? Are you using it to your advantage?
The tongue carries the power of life and death (Proverbs 18:21), and this power is released through the words you speak.
Every word you speak is either affecting your life positively or negatively. Just like the steering directs the course of a vehicle, your tongue, through the words you speak, directs the course of your life (James 3:4-5).
Some people are fond of cursing and using profane language. "But I don't really mean it", they say, "I was just joking." Whether you mean it or not, you're either releasing life or death with your tongue (Ecclesiastes 5:6).
There are other people whose words are controlled by external circumstances. They speak based on what they see, hear or feel about their finances, their health, their businesses, the economic situation, etc.
Friend, don't say what you see about your situation, instead, say what you want to see.
In Genesis chapter 1, the Bible tells us that the earth was formless, desolate and filled with total darkness. But God didn't start talking about how bad things were. He began to say what He wanted to see, and it was so.
Hebrews 11:3 says that the world was created by God's word, and since God made you in His image and likeness, your own words also have the power to create what you want to see in your life.
So, carefully and consciously use your words in a way that will profit you and others.
The more you fill your heart with the truth of God's word, the easier it will be for you to speak the right words always, for the mouth speaks out of the abundance of the heart (Luke 6:45).

Truly, there’s power in the tongue. Thanks for this Tolexy.
